Road crash: Gov. Radda condoles affected families

Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina State has expressed condolences to the families of the victims of the fatal accident involving the state’s transport authority vehicle (KTSTA).

The governor expressed his condolences in a statement issued in Katsina on Saturday by Malam Ibrahim Kaula, his Chief Press Secretary (CPS).

According to him, the incident which occurred on Friday, involved an 18-seater KTSTA bus, enroute to Abuja from their office in Kankara Local Government Area (LGA).

He further explained that ongoing repairs on the Kaduna/Abuja highway, caused the accident.

“The construction work required diversion of traffic, with contractors placing heavy machinery in close proximity to the area, inadvertently contributing to the unfortunate incident.

“Regrettably, seven lives, including two children and the bus driver, were lost at the scene of the accident,” he said.

Radda expresses deep sympathy and stands in solidarity with the bereaved families and the people of the state during this difficult time.

“On behalf of the entire people of the state, I pray to Allah SWT, seeking solace for the departed souls and beg the Almighty to grant them Jannatul Firdaus.

“The state government remains committed to ensuring the safety of its citizens and will work diligently to prevent such tragic incidents in the future,” Radda assured.

The governor further urged people of the state to come together and support one another during these trying times.

Similarly, Radda also extended his condolence message to the Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, over the death of his Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy, Malam Isa Gusau.

According to him, the loss of Malam Gusau was deeply felt, and “our thoughts are with the Borno State Government and the family of the departed.” (Guardian)
