Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it and in Avengers: Endgame sacrificed himself for the greater good.
But his Tony Stark will live on forever, not just in our memories and our DVDs but also as a statue that has been erected in Tuscany, Italy.
Designed and created by artist Daniele Basso as part of a month-long exhibit called Oltre Verso, the statue is part of a 40-piece collection in the town of Forte Dei Marmi.
Basso named the statue – which features Iron Man in his classic three-point landing pose – Man Of Steel, not to be confused with DC Comics hero Superman, who is also known under the same moniker. Read more
