Roy Keane has said he would not be interested in becoming Manchester United’s first director of football – even if he didn’t already have a job in football.
Keane was on punditry duty for Sky Sports during the Manchester derby and didn’t hold back with his scathing assessment of United’s players during the defeat.
United began the game with promise but couldn’t capitalise and faded after the break. They were ultimately undone by two David de Gea mistakes as goals from Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane allowed City to take a huge step towards retaining their title.
Keane was not impressed by United’s performance and was extremely critical of several players.
United supporters were impressed with Keane’s impassioned rant and many called for him to be brought back to to the club in some capacity. Read more
