Roy Keane has shot dead the possibility of returning to Manchester United in any capacity as the club prepare for new additions to their hierarchy this summer.
As reported by Metro.co.uk earlier this week, United are making significant changes to their structure behind the scenes and have held talks about Mike Phelan becoming their first-ever technical director.
Darren Fletcher is also being considered for a role at the club, but United’s woeful form continued on Wednesday night with a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed a three-year deal to become United’s permanent manager in March, but Keane has no plans to join his former team-mate at Old Trafford. Read more
