Ruben Loftus-Cheek should demand to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to Sam Allardyce.
The 22-year-old has played only 33 minutes in the Premier League this season and admitted in the summer that he was reluctant to remain at Stamford Bridge if he did not get regular playing time.
Loftus-Cheek excelled during his season-long loan at Crystal Palace last term and Allardyce believes the midfielder needs to ‘build his own career’ away from Chelsea.
‘I’m disappointed for Loftus-Cheek,’ Allardyce told talkSPORT.
‘Chelsea have told him he’s going to be a part of the team this season and, if that is the case, they haven’t lived up to that yet.
