Sabi EcoFusion unveils groundbreaking Sabi Lifestyle Movement for sustainable living

In a groundbreaking announcement on Saturday in Lagos, futuristic Nigerian start-up Sabi EcoFusion revealed plans for the highly anticipated launch of the Sabi Lifestyle movement. The initiative aims to engage 5,000 participants in its premier campaign, set to kick off in January 2024.

The company’s official statement emphasised that subscriptions open on Monday, December 4, 2023, with an enticing offer of free sign-ups during the initial two weeks. Sabi Lifestyle’s primary objective is to empower subscribers with crucial knowledge, enabling them to significantly reduce their energy consumption and contribute to the global fight against climate change.

Following a successful test run concluding on November 30, Sabi EcoFusion is poised for the formal launch of the Sabi Lifestyle movement. The movement seeks to address the critical gap in energy efficiency awareness in Nigeria, where rising energy costs pose a significant challenge.

Engr. Odinakachi Umunna, an energy expert at Shell and the founder of Sabi EcoFusion, emphasised the importance of energy efficiency, stating, “Our research shows that up to 70% of electricity generated is wasted across the value chain, with an average of 30% wasted in buildings alone.” Umunna expressed a strong belief in the collective power of individuals contributing to a sustainable future and highlighted the movement’s goal of providing free knowledge to make a positive impact on the environment and individuals’ finances.

The Sabi Lifestyle movement, scheduled for January 2024, will embed 5,000 participants into a culture of energy efficiency. Subscribers will receive free tips and resources aimed at revolutionising their energy usage for both environmental and financial benefits.

Engr. Umunna described the upcoming campaign as a pilot, featuring expert-led sessions on energy management. Participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback, shaping future iterations as the Sabi team expands the campaign across the continent.

Engr. Hope Bemigho, a Head of Department at the Nigerian Naval Engineering College and member of the project team, stressed the broader impact of energy conservation. “Conserving energy isn’t just about saving watts; it’s about nurturing wealth by wisely channelling resources, illuminating the path towards a brighter, more sustainable future,” Bemigho stated.

To stay connected with the Sabi Lifestyle movement and explore a brighter, more sustainable future, interested individuals are encouraged to follow their social media channels @thesabilife on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. The sign-up platform officially opens on December 4, 2023, and offers free registration during the initial two weeks.
