The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has shown himself to be a good sport with a great sense of humour.
The governor, in an Instagram post, acknowledged receiving in audience at his office, an Instagram user with the handle @bodataiye-oniyakuya who a few days ago shared a drawing which was purportedly of the governor.
In his post. The artist wrote: “I drew his excellency governor of Lagos state @jidesanwaolu. I thank God for the successful work I think his excellency will love it 100%. I still remain the best artist in UAR”
A puzzled Sanwo-Olu had replied with a humourous post in the artist’s comment section.
“Really? So it’s me you drew like this. I’m guessing you will like to present it to me, abi? Ok come and present it to me in my office. hmmm.”
The artist had in a subsequent post wondered whether the governor was displeased and wanted to arrest him.
Their Instagram exchange was met with equally humourous comments.
In a post made after receiving the artist, Governor Sanwo-Olu shared photos of the encounter as well as a humourous message poking fun at the artist.
The “best artist in UAR” came to present his drawing to me. I honestly cannot lay claim to the person in the frame but I can lay claim to the fact that we will continue to support and encourage our talented youths in Lagos.
We are also adding fashion and entertainment to our school curriculum.
