Serena Williams taught me many things, says sister Venus (TennisWorldUSA)

In an interview with La Repubblica, Venus Williams commented on how her sister Serena influenced her life and career. Venus has been dealing with Sjogren Syndrome since 2011 but at 38 years of age, she is still competing. “She has always been my inspiration”, said Venus.

“She taught me many things. Sisters often get involved in a competition. That never happened to me. Our parents grew us in order to be best friends too: we were never allowed to argue each other.” Between tennis and her fashion line: where does she find the time to do everything? “I do not get into an obsession.

If I do not manage to end a thing, I tell myself, I will do it tomorrow. I try to do what I can when I can. I do not want to get crazy or be obsessed by anxiety.” Read more
