Star Lager partners Lagos govt for One Lagos Fiesta

Star Lager Beer has revealed plans to end the year in conjunction with the Lagos Government at its flagship yuletide revue, One Lagos Fiesta, scheduled to hold from December 24 to the early hours of January 1, 2019.

In an exciting unveil, the Lagos State Government on Monday disclosed that artistes cutting across all genres would be performing at this year’s One Lagos Fiesta with support from Nigeria’s foremost beer brand, Star Lager.

The eight day, non-stop, celebration will hold in five different designated locations in Lagos simultaneously and will feature not just artistes but dance groups and cultural performances.

The 2018 OLF, as it is fondly called, will also feature support from Star Lager as the beer brand will be on-ground to provide Lagosians non-stop refreshments all through the week-long event.

Speaking on why the brand chose to once again be present at OLF, the Head Media Digital & Sponsorships, Mr. Wasiu Abiola, said, “Star Lager Beer is consumer-focused, and a listening brand. We know how passionate Nigerians are about festivities and that is why we’re supporting One Lagos Fiesta. We share in this excitement and we will be pulling all the stops to ensure our consumers have a great time all through the eight days.”

Star’s inclusion doesn’t come as a shock as the brand has, in previous years, been present and supportive of the annual year end felicitations. Abiola expressed the brand’s commitment to bringing the best experience to thousands of Star Lager Beer consumers who will be visiting the locations across Lagos State.

With a long history of supporting the consumers’ passion, Star continues to create premium experiences as it has done with its very successful consumer activation programs like Star Fan Parks and Star The Fusion among others.

Star is wholly homegrown. It was introduced into the Nigerian market on June 2, 1949 as the first indigenously brewed beer in a market that was dominated by imported brands. Star is largely responsible for the growth of the Nigerian indigenous beer industry as its success story has influenced the introduction of other successful brands.
