The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has rewarded the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, with the party’s governorship ticket for the 2019 election, an investigation by SUNDAY PUNCH has revealed. The US will withdraw from a landmark nuclear weapons treaty with Russia, President Donald Trump has confirmed. Speaking to reporters, Mr Trump said Russia had “violated” the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty. Police uncover bodies of Abia pastor, two church members (Punch)

Policemen attached to the Criminal Investigation Department in the Abia State Police command have uncovered the decomposing body of one Pastor Blessed Kelechi in his residence at Umuobia Housing Estate, Olokoro, a suburb of Umuahia, the state capital.
