The police in Taraba on Sunday gunned down three members of a robbery gang operating along the Kwassa feeder road in Bali Local Government Area of the state.
Other members of the gang were said to have escaped into the bush with gunshot injuries during an exchange of gunfire with police operatives.
The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, David Akinremi, informed Northern City News that one locally made pistol with one live cartridge, a dane gun, a face mask, a knife and some charms were recovered from the hoodlums.
He said, “Today (Sunday), at about 9:30am, information was received that a gang of armed robbers was operating along the Kwassa feeder road in Bali LGA. A team of policemen was immediately dispatched to the scene.
