A 16-year old maid, Zainab Ibrahim, and a street sweeper, Shade Yusuf, 56, alleged to have stolen jewelry worth N1.7 million belonging to one Oyinkansola Olanipekun have been arraigned before a Magistrate’s Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos. The duo was arraigned before Chief Magistrate O. Ojuromi.
The police from State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (SCIID) Panti-Yaba, Lagos, in a charge marked B/276/2018, alleged that the teenager and the street sweeper committed the offence sometime last month at 29, Alhaji Mustafa Street, Iju-Ishaga, Lagos. The teenager was arraigned on two-count charges of conspiracy and stealing, while the street sweeper was charged with counts of conspiracy, stealing and receiving stolen items.
