The Greatest Showman has had a record breaking year with its soundtrack sticking in the charts since its release.
And while it comfortably clings to the number one spot in the UK album charts, it seems the album has just gone and claimed yet another record.
That’s right, with its 24th non-consecutive week at the top, it has just gone and smashed Adele’s previous record of 23 weeks at number one – which she held with her hit album 21.
The musical has remained in the top five for the entirety of 2018, and has held off the likes of Justin Timberlake and Camila Cabello taking top spot.
But The Greatest Showman still has some way to go before it can crack the heights that some classic musicals reached with their accompanying soundtracks 50-60 years ago. Read more
