Nigerian Singer, Tiwa Savage, is back in the news amid the controversy generated by her sex tape.
The internet has literarily been on fire since the tape was released earlier in the week.
Before it got out, the musician had hinted that someone was threatening to blackmail her with it.
And shortly after it went viral, she called out a blog for being upset about her being able to control the narrative.
But on Friday morning, the diva dropped a cryptic note on Instagram.

#EndSARS anniversary: Police arraign 34 suspects in Lagos (Punch)
Thirty-four suspects arrested by security agents during a clampdown on protesters marking the first anniversary of the #EndSARS protest at the Lekki Toll Gate on Wednesday have been arraigned in court.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, in a statement on Thursday, said the suspects, some of whom were arrested with different weapons, were arraigned in Magistrate’s Court 5, in the Oshodi area of the state.
He stated that the memorial protest was peaceful without threat to the security of lives and property until some hoodlums infiltrated the protesters.
He noted that one Shina Edun, of Man O’ War personnel attached to the Lekki Concession Company, was stabbed in the stomach by the hoodlums, adding that the victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Read more

Nigeria is ripe for an inclusive rental system that will reduce the housing burden on working families. With the system, tenants will be paying rents monthly, instead of yearly as presently obtains in Lagos, Abuja and other cities.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, canvassed this position at the just-concluded 10th meeting of the National Council on Lands, Housing and Urban Development in Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu said the current rental model in which people remit yearly rent in advance to property owners had become inadequate to address contemporary realities in the housing sector, especially in cities where demand for properties is high and expensive.
The governor advocated monthly rental system, which, he said, would be affordable to low- and middle-income earners, who are pressured by yearly rent obligation. Read more
Despite telecom shutdown, Zamfara bandits contact kidnapped corpers’ families for N4m ransom (Punch)
Bandits in Zamfara State have evaded the telecommunication blackout in many parts of the state to reach out to families of two graduates abducted en route to the National Youth Service orientation camp in Kebbi State.
The kidnappers reportedly demanded N2m ransom for each of the victims, Jennifer Iorliam and Joseph Aondona, and two other commuters kidnapped along with them.
City Round learnt that the victims boarded a bus from Benue State to Sokoto State on Tuesday before they were intercepted around Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The driver of the bus and some passengers were said to have escaped and reported the incident at police stations in Zamfara and Benue states.
Teenage ‘bandit’ who ‘murdered 2 persons’ arrested in Katsina (DailyTrust)
The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a teenager over his alleged involvement in banditry.
The boy aged 14 was paraded at the command headquarters.
According to Isah Gambo, Police Public Relations Officer in the state, the minor confessed to killing two persons during one of his operations.
Gambo said the boy confessed taking part in the operation at Mallamawa in Jibia Local Government Area of the state where the persons were killed.
“The boy has confessed to us that he has participated in several attacks on villages within and outside the state where he said he could remember killing two people in Mallamawa.” Read more
Kebbi: 17 corps members to repeat service year (Guardian)
Out of 1008, 2021 Batch B Stream One National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to Kebbi State, 17 will repeat the entire service year while seven had their service extended by some months for various offences.
This was disclosed yesterday during the passing out ceremony, which was held at the state secretariat in Birnin Kebbi.
The State Coordinator, Mustapha Muhammad, said the 17 corps members would repeat their service for breaching the NYSC constitution.
Muhammad, who was represented by the Head of Corps Discipline and Reward, Mr. Umar Musa, congratulated the outgoing corps members. He also lauded them for their diligence, hard work, loyalty and commitment to the development of their various host communities.
Muhammad admonished them not to abandon the skills they acquired during the service year but rather make a livelihood from them. Read more
Man jailed for impersonating James Bond (Punch)
Justice Saleh Shuaibu of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State has sentenced one Irabor Osarumwense, aka 007 Daniel Craig (James Bond), to two years’ imprisonment for impersonation and fraud.
Osarumwense was arraigned by the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on one count bordering on impersonation and obtaining under false pretences. He reportedly impersonated a British actor to defraud unsuspecting victims.
The charge read, “That you Irabor Osarumwense (aka 007 Daniel Craig, James Bond) sometime in 2021 in Benin City, Edo State, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court did fraudulently impersonate the identity of Daniel Craig, an British actor, by fraudulently sending documents to one Nansiri through the internet which document you claim emanated from the said Daniel Craig with the intent to gain advantage for yourself, thereby committing an offence contrary to Section 22 (2)(b)(ii) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc) Act 2015 and punishable under section 22(2)(b)(iv) of the same Act.”
Upon arraignment, the defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.Read more
Buhari to consider pardoning Ken Saro-Wiwa decades after execution by Nigeria (Guardian)
Indications have emerged that the Nigerian Government may soon grant a posthumous pardon to Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight other Ogoni activists after brutal execution by a former military regime 26 years ago for fighting for the rights of their people.
President Muhammadu Buhari gave the indication, Friday, when he received some of the leaders of land led by the President of the Supreme Council of Ogoni Traditional Rulers, His Majesty King Godwin N.K. Giniwa, at the State House, Abuja.
Mr Saro-Wiwa and eight of his kinsmen, who became popularly known as the Ogoni Nine, were sentenced to death on November 10, 1995 by a special military tribunal set up by the Nigerian Government under Gen Sani Abacha who later died in June 1998 inside the presidential villa under mysterious circumstances.
“Despite the grievous circumstances, the Federal Government will consider the request for the grant of pardon to finally close the Ogoni saga,” Buhari told the Ogoni leaders. Read more
NRC announces resumption of Abuja-Kaduna train services (DailyTrust)
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the resumption of the Abuja-Kaduna Train Services (AKTS).
This is coming 24 hours after an attack on a section of the 186-kilometer railway track led the corporation to suspend its services.
In a statement on Friday night, NRC announced the resumption of operations.
Daily Trust learnt that this was sequel to the fixing of the damaged portions of the railways.
“The Board and Management of the Nigerian railway corporation (NRC) hereby inform the general public, particularly our valued passengers that Abuja – Kaduna Train Services (AKTS) resume tomorrow, Saturday, 23rd October, 2021 as follows,” the statement read. Read more

Every year thousands of women are trafficked to European cities and put to work having sex with men. Jewel, a young Nigerian who had expected to become a carer, eventually managed to escape thanks to two chance meetings.

Jewel – not her real name – is describing her arrival in Denmark.
“I was thanking God for the opportunity to be in this country. I was looking forward to starting work.”
Jewel caught a flight from Nigeria thinking she was going to work with old people.

Another woman has come forward claiming to be the child of legendary late hip-hop artist DMX — bringing the total of children he allegedly fathered to 15.
Page Six has exclusively learned that a Georgia woman named Raven Barmer-Simmons contacted DMX’s other adult children in the past few weeks. She and the fellow 14 alleged children of the late rapper will all be DNA tested to confirm their paternity
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, died in early April aged 50 following a cocaine-induced heart attack, leaving no will and few liquid assets.

South African ex-policewoman Nomia Rosemary Ndlovu has been found guilty of killing five relatives and her boyfriend at the end of a trial that has gripped the country.
The six were murdered between 2012 and 2018, most with the help of a hitman, so she cold profit from life-insurance payouts.
The 46 year old was finally caught after someone she hired to kill her sister went to the police.

Lee, the son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, had followed in the footsteps of his famous father – who died when he was eight years old – by training in martial arts and studying acting, and starred in the movies Legacy of Rage, Laser Mission and the Dolph Lundgren buddy cop film Showdown In Little Tokyo.
The rising star was then cast as the lead character Eric Draven in the gothic fantasy film The Crow, which was set to be his breakthrough role.
Then 28 years old and engaged to girlfriend Eliza Hutton, in March 1993, Lee had finished almost all of his scenes for the movie, and was filming a scene where he is shot by thugs after entering an apartment. Read more
Alec Baldwin told gun was safe before fatal shooting – court records(BBC)
The gun that actor Alec Baldwin fired on set, killing a woman, was handed to him by an assistant director who told him it was safe, court records show.
The unnamed director did not know the prop contained live ammunition and indicated it was unloaded by shouting “cold gun!”, the records say.
Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot in the chest in Thursday’s incident on the set of the film Rust.

Mohamed Salah says he wants to spend the rest of his career with Liverpool.
The 29-year-old Egypt forward has scored 137 goals in 214 games for the Reds since a £34m move from Roma in 2017, including 12 goals this season.
His current Liverpool deal runs out at the end of next season.
“It doesn’t depend on me, but if you asked me I would love to stay until the last day of my football [career]. It’s not in my hands, it depends on what the club wants,” Salah told Sky Sports.

Verstappen called Hamilton a “stupid idiot” over the team radio after an incident in which the two raced side by side down the pit straight.
Verstappen then gave Hamilton a middle-finger salute as they accelerated out of the corner.

The Astros are going to the World Series.
Houston defeated the Boston Red Sox 5-0 in Game 6 of the ALCS in Houston on Friday night to win the series and punch their ticket to the Fall Classic.
Yordan Alvarez’s double put Houston up 1-0 in the first inning and later scored on a double-play ball from Kyle Tucker in the sixth to make it 2-0. The Astros got 5 2/3 scoreless inning from starter Luis Garcia. Tucker put the game out or reach with a three-run homer in the eighth.
The Astros last played in the World Series in 2019, losing to the Nationals. They won it all in 2017 under the eventual cloud of a sign stealing scandal than turning them into one of MLB’s most hated teams.Read more
