Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson test positive for coronavirus

Movie icon Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have both tested positive for coronavirus. The two-time Oscar winner said he and his wife of 31 years, who are both 63, found out the news while on Australia’s Gold Coast, where Hanks is about to start filming Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann’s new Elvis Presley biopic.

In a statement released Wednesday evening, Hanks told Deadline: ‘Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia,

‘We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.’ (Text courtesy Metro)
