Obiano feeds the multitude

The Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, donated N10m to supplement the feeding of corps members in the state for a three-week orientation camp.

The governor made the donation while declaring open the 2019 orientation camp ceremony of 2,200 Batch ‘B’ corps members at the Umunya orientation camp, in the Oyi Local Government Area of the state.

Represented by the state’s Head of Service, Harry Udu, the governor gave assurances of his administration’s continued support of the scheme. He said, “I hereby direct the NYSC Coordinator to ensure the provision of the most sumptuous meal as I shall be supplementing the feeding in the Anambra camp with the sum of N10m. We will continue to provide the enabling environment for the youths to maximize their potentials.”

Hahahahahahaha…. Scam! Sumptuous meal ko, substitute meal ni. Na N10m worth of watery beans and yam porridge una go chop tire.

NAFDAC scores own goal

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has said it will introduce stricter measures to curtail the use of Sniper (Dichlorvos or 2,2-dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate) in homes to end the abuse of the pesticide which in recent times had been associated with suicides in Nigeria.

“Recently, some suicide cases have been associated with people drinking Sniper. Henceforth, we call on the agro-chemical industry to enhance their distribution channels so that this product (Sniper) gets to only accredited distributors and marketers,” Dr Husman Bukar, the Director, Veterinary Medicine and Allied Products Directorate, NAFDAC, said.

“We have also placed a ban on the manufacture of smaller packs of Sniper which are easily purchased for household use.”

Here we go again, killing the patient and not the ailment. So it’s only Sniper that people can use in killing themselves? We sha are not smart as we think we are. Mental health issues should be paid attention to, and when people open up about their struggles with their mental health, don’t snicker or go, Pray to Jesus! Because you’re the Jesus that person is seeing!

Be a man, MAN!

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) told President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday that the country’s economy remained “fragile”, much as it appreciated his commitment to perform better in his second term in office.

“It is clear that our economy is still fragile,” the President of MAN, Mr. Mansur Ahmed, said when the National Council on Manufacturers Association of Nigeria visited Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Ahmed added, “With the Gross Domestic Product at 2.0 per cent and below the population growth rate, the clouds are still threatening and the task of driving the economy upwards is still enormous. But, Your Excellency, we are encouraged by the very strong commitment you expressed only last week in your Democracy Day address. You did say that in your second term, your administration will do, even more, not only to continue to drive the economy on the path of sustained growth but indeed to create a more inclusive and sustainable economy.”

LOL. This one dey talk from both sides of him mouth. Abeg just tell Oga B the truth! Nobody go arrest you. Or will they?

Sagay with the sage words

Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Prof. Itse Sagay, has commended the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration under President Muhammadu Buhari for stepping up the fight against corruption in the country in a bid to ensure good governance and development.

He spoke during a workshop organised by the PACAC in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency which held in Jos on Wednesday.

“After our evaluation in the fight against corruption, we discovered that jailing people is a desperate and wasteful effort,” Sagay said. “It is going to be difficult to have convictions because of the weakness in the judicial institution. And that is why we have concentrated more on asset seizure of corrupt people as the way to go.”

LOL. He forgot to add that it is going to be difficult to have convictions of pro-APC looters. That’s the main koko.

More Drama for Drake

Drake reportedly agreed to pay a $350,000 (£280,000) settlement to the same woman he tried to sue for making false sexual assault claims, which he was entirely cleared of in 2017.

The alleged settlement has been revealed after Instagram model Layla Lace filed a new public complaint against her own attorney because he didn’t act in her best interest. Published by The Blast, the complaint exposes all of the alleged details of Layla’s gritty ‘fetish’ encounter with Canadian hitmaker Drake after a Manchester tour date in the UK in February 2017.

In her complaint, Layla alleges: “Drake forced me to perform oral on him.” But he insisted their night of passion was consensual, stating that ‘Layla also voluntarily and seemingly happily performed oral sex.” Layla is said to have become infuriated when Drake didn’t invite her to travel with him on the rest of his tour, which continued around Europe and Australia.

Champagnepapi, wehdone sir. This is the kind of drama Pusha T’s private investigators live for.
