RUGA is cancelled!

The federal government has suspended the controversial Rural Grazing Area (RUGA) settlements for herdsmen across the nation.

Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State revealed this at the presidential villa in Abuja after a meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

The governor said the reason the planned Ruga was suspended is because it was not consistent with the National Livestock Transformation Plan. The Ruga initiative drew the ire and condemnation of some state governors who insisted there is no land for ranches and cattle colonies in their state.

Mtcheeww. It wasn’t consistent with the National Livestock Transformation Plan yet you people went ahead to associate yourselves with it ba? God save us in this season of Next Level.

Senate turns investigator over Elisha Abbo drama

The Nigerian Senate has set up a bipartisan ad hoc committee headed by former governor of Ebonyi State, Sam Egwu, to probe the alleged assault on a nursing mother by Senator Elisha Abbo. The embattled senator is a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member representing Adamawa North Senatorial District. He slapped a saleswoman at an adult toy shop in Abuja earlier this year.

The President of the Senate confirmed that he had been inundated with calls from concerned Nigerians within and outside the country asking the Senate to explain what happened.

Lawan said it would be unfair on either the Senator or the assaulted lady if the Senate should pass a judgment immediately based on the viral video clip. He, therefore, asked the ad hoc committee to probe the issue critically by inviting both parties and submit its report within two weeks.

If una like, make una twist the matter to Elisha’s favour. The video is out there for everyone to see. Nothing justifies hitting another (whether man or woman) especially when your own life isn’t threatened.Judgement day is here for abusers.

Kaffy don dey para for Naira Marley

Popular dancer, Kafayat Shafau, otherwise known as Kaffy, has condemned the controversial dance step, Soapy, popularised by musician, Azeez Fashola a.k.a. Naira Marley. The dance step, which is done by imitating the act of masturbation, was demonstrated in a video posted by Naira Marley last week.

Kaffy, who is a Guinness World Record holder in dance, said on Instagram, “I am sorry; I can’t take this. I have never seen a more disgusting, immoral dance like the so-called Soapy. It should never be encouraged. I am really disappointed.

“As dancers we should speak for what is right. We shouldn’t encourage this for the sake of trending, especially when it is not even censored from kids. To an adult, it is even offensive. Rubbish!”

LOL. Are we not the same people that rocked the ‘One Corner’ dance? Aunty Kaffy, go and update your dance steps biko.

A London broken home

A husband has sued his unfaithful wife after discovering he is not the father of her eight-year-old son.

He wants her to return ‘every penny’ he spent on the boy, who was actually fathered by someone she had an affair with. His estranged wife is resisting his demands to reveal the name of the man and to tell her son who his real dad is.

At the Family Division of the High Court in London, Mr Justice Cohen said the man had been devastated to learn he was not the boy’s father. The judge said he would decide on whether to order her to reveal the name of the boy’s father following a further hearing.

Chai. Read somewhere that most firstborns aren’t the child of their father. Children of God, are you thoughting what I am thinking?

No retreat, no surrender – Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi vowed to extend his international career after yet another bid to win a major title with Argentina ended in failure at the Copa America on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old Barcelona star, who infamously quit international football after Argentina’s defeat in the 2016 Copa America Centenario final, said he had no plans to hang up his boots after a 2-0 semi-final loss to Brazil.

“If I can still help in any way, I will continue to do so. I feel really good in this group,” said the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. “This is a good, talented generation who showed that they love the national team. They have a future and great foundations; they just need to be given time.”

This life. We can’t have it all, can we? Messi, biko go and drink some cold beers. You better pass many footballers sef.
