‘Na lie. Super Eagles no chop Lagos money’
The administration of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has denied the allegation that it withdrew a whopping $470 million to fund the federal government delegation to the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt. According to a statement by the governor’s spokesman, Gboyega Akosile, there is nothing further from the truth than the statement credited to the Lagos chapter of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“Is it not laughable…that PDP will resort to issuing press statements based on fake news on social media? Does it not stand logic on its head to allege that Governor Sanwo-Olu spent $470m to fund a trip that he was nominated as a delegate?
“As we have always stated, we will again suggest to the Lagos state PDP and her spokesman to always fact check before putting pen on paper. Opposition politics is not built on lies and fake news.”
Okay o. Make e be say na false news finally, because Lagosians need that money pass Super Eagles. Because monkey cannot be working for baboon to chop.
Truth bites the dust as freedom beckons for Elisha Abbo
The Chief Magistrate’s Court in Zuba has granted bail of N5 million to Elisha Abbo, hours after the police arraigned the senator on two counts of criminal assault. The magistrate also said the senator must present two competent sureties to the court to secure his appearance in subsequent hearings on the criminal charges.
Mr Abbo pleaded not guilty to both charges, sidestepping his admission of wrongdoing and an apology to both the victims and Nigerians last Wednesday.
I always had an inkling this case would go nowhere. Nigeria, as a country, isn’t fully ready to challenge power. Not guilty after ALL that evidence? Oh please.
Biodun Fatoyinbo Vs Busola Dakolo: CAN sings a new tune
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged the public to allow the investigating team of its elders to make public its findings on the rape allegation against the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo. In a statement by its Acting General Secretary, Joseph Daramola, CAN said it resisted the temptation of jumping into any conclusion since the truth will soon be uncovered.
It said: “Since both Pastor Fatoyinbo and Mrs. Timi Dakolo are Christians, the leadership of CAN is already seeking ways to address the issues in order to heal every wound already inflicted on the parties concerned and the body of Christ in general. It is our hope that steps which will exacerbate the current damages already done will be avoided.
“As we seek the help of CAN Elders and the Holy Spirit in resolving the current problem, it is our prayer that both parties will sheathe their swords and stop the media war in the interest of the Church and for the greater glory of God.”
Mtcheew. From “Fatoyinbo is not part of CAN” to turning overnight CIA on COZA matter? This CAN people deserve an Oscar.
Soyinka to Buhari: Be an exemplary leader
According to the renowned scholar and Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, President Muhammadu Buhari’s refusal to obey the law is making a section of the country to think that they are above the law, thereby causing anarchy. Soyinka said this at a wreath-laying ceremony to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the death of Abiola organised by Women Arise for Change Initiative at MKO Abiola’s graveside in Ikeja, on Sunday.
“We have the issue of security, obeying the law, which is one thing that equalises all. President Muhammadu Buhari should lead by example by obeying the dictates of the law, so that other Nigerians can follow suit,” Soyinka said.
“It is this refusal to obey the law that has made some sections of the populace to think they are above the law and are causing anarchy in the country.
“We have a responsibility as a people, and the government should address the issue of education, youth unemployment and insecurity.”
All these talk is Tales by Moonlight for our Presido. He has already given the verdict for his second term: More suffering awaits.
There Was A Server
A Presiding Officer during the February 23 presidential election, Mr Adejuyitan Olalekan, told the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja that he personally transmitted the results collated at his polling unit during the poll. Olalekan took the witness stand as the petitioners’ third witness at the instance of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who are by their petition challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
While being cross-examined by Buhari’s lawyer, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), the witness maintained that all the voters at his polling units voted via card reader as the machine worked perfectly. He also insisted that INEC did not direct Presiding Officers to allow voters who could not be authenticated by the card reader machine to vote manually with their picture captured.
He said, “No, we were not directed to allow people to vote manually. The card reader worked for every voter who came to my polling unit.”
LOL. Shebi INEC told us they didn’t have, use or know what a server means, during the presidential election? The truth is sha coming out from the closet.
