NYSC faults African varsities

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has met with the registrars of 159 universities in Africa, accusing some of them of selling their certificates for between N300,000 and N500,000 each to unqualified Nigerians. These unqualified Nigerians, the NYSC added, were thereafter sent in by these corps-producing institutions to participate in the one year national service.

The NYSC Director-General, Brig. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, said this in Abuja on Thursday at a meeting with the registrars of these foreign institutions.

“…With effect from the 2019 Batch C service year, only graduates whose academic certificates are authenticated by the Nigerian consulates in these countries of study will be accepted for national service,” he said. “Furthermore, all institutions found culpable in the sale of degree certificates will be blacklisted.”

Na so. Even NYSC is complicit in this scam. If you don’t believe me, then ask any Corper about PPA. Gist plenty.

‘What is holding Nigeria back is eye service’

A ministerial nominee from Kano State, Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi (retd), on Thursday said during ministerial screening in the Senate that infighting among Nigerian service chiefs was affecting the war against insurgency and other efforts against other forms of insecurity.

The Senate had on Thursday screened additional 14 ministerial nominees, bringing the number of people screened at the red chamber to 28, having screened 14 on Wednesday.

He said, “…In my own view, we are caught in a situation where you find out that each commander or service chief tries to please the nation…In Nigeria today, what we call command structure is now being seen as weakness. We have almost disseminated all our forces and I do not think the current structure is a true reflection of the manpower requirement in this country. We only have divisions probably by name but I do not think we have the required manpower to man them.”

Mtcheew. The Nigerian situation is all a sham. We know the right things to do but will we do them? Maybe after Christ’s second coming.

A not so perfect picture drama

A woman is taking her ex-husband to court because she wants a recent photograph of himself. The pair are embroiled in a family court dispute over their son and the woman is trying to force her ex to send a picture so she can talk to their six-year-old about him.

Detail of the woman’s request has emerged in a judge’s ruling on the latest stage of the litigation.

The woman said she hoped that a photograph would help stimulate conversations with the boy about his dad. The pair had married in Jordan in 2010, moved to England in 2011, and separated in 2013 – before their son was 12 months old.

Kai. All this drama for a picture? This oyibo too do abeg!

12 years without a boy and counting

A mayor is offering locals a ‘very attractive reward’ if they have a baby boy, after it was discovered that only girls have been born in a village for the last 12 years.

The village of Miejsce Odrzańskie, in the south of Poland near the border with the Czech Republic, has less than 300 hundred inhabitants, and most are female. The last boy to be born in the village, and who still lives there, was 12 years ago.

Tomasz Golasz, head of the volunteer fire brigade – which is also staffed mainly by women – said: “It has been going on for several decades. I came to the village, took a local girl for my wife and we had two daughters. I would like to have a son but it’s probably unrealistic. My neighbour also tried and has two daughters. ‘I don’t think women give birth to boys here.”

LOL. Is matriarchy so bad a thing? Make them relax joor.

Religious ANALysis according to His Grace

A religious leader says people turn out to be homosexual because of problems transferred to a fetus during pregnancy. Speaking at a primary school in Akaki, Cyprus, the bishop claimed that being gay is passed on when pregnant women have anal sex and enjoy it.

He said: ‘It happens during the parent’s intercourse or pregnancy. It follows an abnormal sexual act between the parents. To be more clear, anal sex. [Saint Porfyrios] says that when the woman likes that, a desire is born, and then the desire is passed on to the child.”

The Bishop was speaking during a series of ‘spiritual meetings of dialogue’ that ran until this month, according to Accept LGBTI Cyprus. The meetings are open to anyone and the audience ranges from children to elders with people open to asking the Bishop of Morphou whatever they want.

LOL. Wetin pesin no go see? This one clearly has his head stuck up his…yeah, you guessed right.
