The Mortal Combat(ant)

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has told those accusing him of being too combative as the National Chairman of a governing party to keep their cool as he was not about to change his approach because he did not join politics to be changed by the way things are done by politicians.

“If this country is going to change and deliver to the poor, deliver decent jobs, we need not diplomacy, but aggressive engagement to force those who are benefiting from the status quo to change and in such a way that will make the country to work for the people who live on their wages.

“Some people said to me that I am too combative and I said to them that I was not coming to copy their method, but coming to impose my method to change the system and not for the system to change me. I refuse to be changed by the system. My hope is that with more comrades coming into politics, we will work together to change the system for a better future.”

Mtcheew. No be only APC members him combativeness dey epp? Mtcheew.

‘Ladies, come and chop this money’

A Ghanaian actor, Oboy Siki, has said he would rather spend his money on women, than on buying properties. According to GhanaWeb, it was a better deal for him to spend all his money on sleeping with young ladies than having properties.

He said, “It’s better to spend all your money on sleeping with young ladies because when you die, you won’t be buried with your properties.” Oboy mentioned that at his age, he concentrates on getting young ladies to sleep with and not on acquiring properties that he won’t be buried with.

Oboy went on to add that he’s from a family of womanisers and will, therefore, work at ensuring he keeps the legacy alive.

LOL. At least this one sha know wetin dey worry am. Him and his village people are in a special relationship.

Saudi Arabia, welcome to 2019

Women in Saudi Arabia can now travel abroad without a male guardian’s permission, royal decrees say. The new rule announced on Friday allows women over the age of 21 to apply for a passport without authorisation, putting them on an equal footing with men. Women are also being granted the right to register childbirth, marriage or divorce.

The decision follows a series of high profile attempts by women to escape abroad from the kingdom. The kingdom has recently eased other long-standing social restrictions on women, though campaigners say more remains to be done for women’s rights.

Saudi Arabia has increasingly come under the spotlight over its treatment of its female citizens, an issue highlighted by several high-profile cases of Saudi women seeking asylum abroad.

This world sha. I wonder they haven’t proscribed that all women seek male approval before breathing.

Stephanie Frappart to break football record

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has announced a female referee Stephanie Frappart will officiate the UEFA Super Cup clash between Liverpool and Chelsea on August 14.

“I have said on many occasions that the potential for women’s football has no limits and I am delighted that Stéphanie Frappart has been appointed to officiate at this year’s UEFA Super Cup along with assistant referees Manuela Nicolosi and Michelle O’Neal,” said UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin. “As an organisation, we place the utmost importance on the development of women’s football in all areas,” he added.

This will be the first time ever a female official will take charge of a UEFA men’s competition event. Frappart refereed the Women’s World Cup final between the United States and the Netherlands in July.
