Rochas Okorocha is not happy
Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has expressed regret over the betrayal meted out to him by certain persons he helped up the ladder of positions of authority. He claimed they had now “pitched tent with his detractors”. Pele sir. Who are these people that have hurt our wonderful governor? And why will the Commissioner for Happiness be there and Oga Rochas will be getting scammed and feeling sad. That woman should be queried!
Marriage (un)made in Kuwait
In Kuwait, a couple have made history as having the shortest marriage – three minutes long. The bride and her husband had been on their way out of the courthouse where they wedded when she tripped and the man called her stupid. Angry, the woman turned back into the courthouse and asked the judge to annul the marriage – “If this is how he acts right at the beginning, it’s better to leave him,” a commenter on Twitter said when the news broke. Hmmm. Hope they still fed guests sha? Because me I will fight if I don’t get my pack of jollof rice.
The enemy of your Landlady is not your friend
Mrs Opeyemi Akinjobi, a hairdresser, has taken her landlady to court for wrongfully ejecting her from her shop. Mrs Akinjobi told the court that she was ejected for allegedly discussing with the landlady’s assumed ‘enemy’. “Due to the nature of my work, I interact with a lot of people,” Mrs Akinjobi said. “This particular lady in question comes often to my shop and we discuss extensively. I did not know she has an issue with my landlady. I was discussing with this woman on one of the days when I saw my landlady passing by my shop to her house. Some minutes after she passed, the shop caretaker came to serve me a notice to quit the shop without a genuine reason.” Ah! Mrs Akinjobi should have just told her landlady, à la you-know-who: “I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody.”
