Yahoo Yahoo Boys are small fry – Timi Frank

A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank has called on the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and INTERPOL to prevail on the anti-corruption agencies in Nigeria to clampdown on politicians he described as ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ currently in the present administration.

The activist who was reacting to a long list of young internet fraudsters recently released by the FBI, commended the FBI and other international security agencies for their onslaught against fraudsters in the country.

He said, “Corruption is gradually becoming a criterion to get appointment, especially under the current administration. The ‘Yahoo politicians’ are the role models of these ‘Yahoo Yahoo Boys.’ Those presently in government are not immune. They have turned Nigeria to the capital of poverty in the world.”

LOL. True talk. Was surprised when no Nigerian politician graced that FBI list. Either shows that FBI are slacking or our politicians are getting craftier.

Can Alison-Madueke afford it?

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday appealed to the Federal High Court in Lagos to order the permanent forfeiture of the 2,149 pieces of jewellery and a customised gold iPhone, valued at $40m, recovered from the Abuja home of a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke.

In an affidavit deposed to by Rufai Zaki, an investigator, the EFCC insisted that the items were beyond Diezani’s “known and provable lawful income.”

“The respondent did not utilise her salary or any part of her legitimate income to acquire the assets sought to be forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria,” Zaki said.

Haba, EFCC, how una take know say no be her salary she use buy the jewellery? Don’t you know how much some politicians are stealing…sorry, earning.

Adeboye’s old-but-familiar advice

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Sunday urged Nigerians to support the military and other security agencies with prayers in their efforts at addressing the security challenges in the country.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adeboye spoke at his monthly telecast message, with the theme: ‘Our True Shield and Defence’, via the church’s television at the Redemption Camp in Ogun State.

“Some of us, all we know is to criticise the military. But we need to know that they too are human beings like us and they have their limitations. What we should do is to continue to pray for them so that they can record success in their operations,” Adeboye said.

Okay, Daddy G.O, but you know prayers can only do so much when those that should do their jobs refuse to? Okay o.
