10 million reasons to vex

Musician, Timi Dakolo, has lambasted controversial blogger, Kemi Olunloyo, for mocking his wife, Busola Dakolo, who accused Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly of rape.

The musician said the N10m his wife demanded from Fatoyinbo as legal fees was nothing as he could make the sum in just one weekend of performing at shows. Dakolo said this in an Instagram video on Tuesday.

He said, “Don’t mind stupid people. As I dey like this, na N10m be my problem? Nigerians please have sense before you comment. Before you tweet, ask questions. It will save you.” To Kemi Olunloyo, he said: “Somebody should please invite Kemi (Olunloyo) to join my life. Do I look like N10m is my problem?”

LOL. Flex on them, Timi! But really, Aunty Kemi is one of the reasons this country should pay close attention to its citizens’ mental health.

The News Agency of Nigeria said Onyema reiterated that the returnees’ flight home was on Air Peace, urging them to guard against unauthorised persons, adding that no returnee should pay for the flight.

Alison-Madueke loses fight to keep expensive jewellery and phone

The Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday ordered the permanent forfeiture of the 2,149 pieces of jewellery and a customised gold iPhone, valued at $40m, recovered from the Abuja home of a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke.

In a ruling on Tuesday, Justice Nicholas Oweibo held that Diezani, through her lawyer, Awa Kalu (SAN), failed to show cause why the items should not be permanently forfeited to the federal government.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had told the judge that the jewellery and iPhone were reasonably suspected to be acquired with fraud proceeds. The anti-graft agency said the items were beyond Diezani’s legitimate earnings.

Chai. So wetin go come happen to all those goodies? We need to know. Or else, we will EFCC the EFCC.

Two people in the US have been charged with theft after spending thousands of dollars their bank mistakenly deposited into their account.

The Pennsylvanian couple, Robert and Tiffany Williams, received $120,000 (£97,000) in error and spent nearly all of it, according to an affidavit.

The couple also faces over $100,000 in overdraft fees, having purchased an SUV and other goods, police say. The affidavit says the couple admitted knowing the money was not theirs.
