A sorry time to be Sarri

Embattled Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has accused his side of playing ‘confused’ football in their defeat against Manchester United in the FA Cup. Chelsea were neat in possession but blunt in attack and managed just two shots on target throughout the fifth round tie. “In the first half we played better than the opponent,” Maurizio Sarri said. “Then in the second half, it was really very difficult to play because they are a really physical team and defended very low, compact. So we played confused football in the second half.” LOL. See confused analysis sef.

Customs-designed lies

Mr Joseph Attah, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has said its officers involved in the fatal shooting that occurred along Ijebu Ode road on Sunday are being interrogated. “The officers involved are being interrogated,” said Mr Attah. “If the officers are found guilty, they will be punished appropriately…We still stand our ground that it is not a passenger of the bus that was deliberately shot dead but the victim was hit by the accidental discharge.” Mtcheew. Who una dey deceive? To discharge accidental slap on top una face just dey hungry me.

Advice time

The Director of the Code of Conduct Bureau in Gombe State, Mr Panyi Baira, has advised public servants to declare their assets as part of constitutional requirement. “The law says career civil servants must declare once after each and every four years, but for political office holders, they must declare their assets when they assume office and when they leave, be it elective or appointed.” When our elders like Onnoghen will not listen to advice, is it us lazy Nigerian youth that will now hear word?
