Pro-Buhari supporters gathered at the National Secretariat of the Nigerian Bar Association in Abuja to stage a counter-protest in favour of the president’s suspension of Justice Walter Onnoghen. “The protesters, under the banner of ‘One Nigeria,’ said the President’s action was in the interest of the country,” and “argued that a corrupt judicial officer is a burden on the nation and must be shown the way out.” A protest in support of a wrong move by the Presidency? At a reception by residents of Offa, Kwara State where he led members of his party to a campaign rally in the local government, Senate President and national leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Bukola Saraki was quoted as saying, “If I have skeleton in my cupboard this government would have silenced me and forced me to drop the campaign.
