Confusion break Boko Haram bone, says BMO
The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has dismissed reports that Boko Haram members receive as much as $3,000 daily as against what Nigerian troops receive. The group said rather, the true situation was that the insurgents were in disarray, lacking in supplies, foodstuffs and logistics.
“A terrorist group that is buffeted with hunger and starvation can definitely not be in a position to withstand the unrelenting bombardment by the Nigerian military,” the group said. “We also note that based on the renewed firepower of the Nigerian military, the Boko Haram terrorists are now scattered and scampering for their own safety, as survival has become almost impossible.”
Mtcheew. This BMO people don come again. Much as I want to believe their story, I know not to: As Patrick Obahiagbon posits, it’s audible to the deaf and visible to the blind the cesspool we are in.
IPOB dash Igbo leaders Powerful yabbing
The Indigenous People of Biafra has berated the Governor of Eboyi State, Dave Umahi; his counterpart in Anambra State, Willie Obiano; and the President General of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, Chief Nnaia Nwodo, over alleged statements against the sit-at-home order issued by IPOB.
IPOB, in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Mr Emma Powerful, dismissed the threats, saying, “Any leader worth his salt would canvass for Nigeria to understand the need to declare May 30 a national public holiday but all Igbo leaders care about is their little competition to see who among them will win their coveted Best Fulani Slave in the South East and South South Award 2019.”
Ouch. This one enter, I no go lie. Chai.
Ezekwesili returns ‘with style’
Buhari made the comment while addressing reporters upon his arrival from the UK on Sunday. A reporter had asked the President, “Are we likely to see a different approach in the fight against insecurity, especially kidnapping?” The President had responded, “You know, I have just seen the IG… I think he is losing weight; so, I think he is working very hard.”
Taking to her Twitter account, Ezekwesili said, “And this is supposed to be funny? A President @MBuhari making a joke of the daily drenching of the country in the blood of his citizens who are killed daily without any consequence while he bears the title ‘Commander-in-Chief’? Carry on. Someday the citizens will be ready.”
LOL. Yes, ma, we’ll be ready when you and your colleagues are ready and sure you want to contest for president. Until then, let’s pretend Baba knows what he’s saying.
Una cup go soon full – Anthony Joshua to Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury
The 29-year-old Unified world heavyweight champion who is to fight Andy Ruiz Jr on June 1, says the bout will showcase evolving methods he began to use after beating Wladimir Klitschko. Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live boxing, Joshua said, “After Klitschko, I thought ‘how many more fights can I have like that before the mistakes aren’t there anymore?’ For the last two years, hand on heart, with my team, we spend so much time doing things outside of boxing, things that can drain me.
