Tips for ‘accidental’ beating, according to Frank Mba

The police say Nigerians have the right to search officers in select circumstances. Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, said this in a statement titled, ‘(Part 2) Tips For Safe And Cordial Conducts During An Arrest’ on Monday.

According to him, if an officer is about to search a citizen or a property, the citizen has the right to first search the officer to ensure that no evidence is planted.

The statement read in part, “You may politely request that the officer be searched before searching you. Often times, this helps to allay fears that someone may be trying to plant incriminating items on you or implicate you in any other way.”

LOL. I laugh in Kirikiri. Try searching a Nigerian police officer and your surname will be Sorry and Pele.

‘Bring Back Our Money’

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has given the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) 48 hours within which to refund the N50 it charged candidates for checking their results.

In a statement issued by its National Senate President, Abdulmajeed Oladimeji, it said the association registered its displeasure at the recent destabilisation of JAMB under the leadership of its Registrar, Professor Ishaq Olanrewaju Oloyede.

He said Nigerian students no longer have confidence in the board’s leadership because it shows that it has only prepared to fail, as it left many Nigerians wondering about the recent developments, which although aimed at developing better examination principles and integrity, only achieved the reverse.

LOL. NANS just be like passenger wey no wan leave change for conductor.

I no send anybody – El Rufai

The Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has said that he has no apologies for his views on how to retire godfathers from politics in Lagos State. Recall that last week in Ikoyi, while speaking at an event in Lagos, the governor recounted how he retired godfathers from Kaduna politics.

He said: “If I was asked a question and I gave an answer, anyone that feels offended by the answer, it is his own business. I have no apologies, I don’t apologise for my views.

“I don’t have to explain anything to anyone. This is a democracy and in a democratic space, there must be room for people to express their views.”

LOL. Amazing that Oga believes there must be room for people to express their views. Kaduna journalists, how market na?

Miyetti Allah, Afenifere and Ohanaeze Ndigbo drama: Bakare drops it like it’s hot

Serving Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Sunday, described as shameful the Presidency’s attempt to put herders’ group, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria, on the same social status as the Yoruba and Igbo socio-cultural bodies, Afenifere and Ohanaeze Ndigbo, respectively. Bakare made his position known in a sermon in the church in Ogba, Lagos State.

He said: “How can a group that has been rated as the fourth most deadly group in the world by the United Nations, a group of terrorists, be the same as Afenifere? How can a group that kills people, rapes women, destroys houses be on the same scale as Afenifere? Do Afenifere members carry weapons?”

He added, “And to show the true colour of the person doing the comparison, he left out the ACF from his comparison as if that one is above everybody else. If you have to put Afenifere and Ohanaeze on the same scale as Miyetti Allah, why did you exclude the ACF? Is it not to tell everyone that the ACF is superior to other groups in the country?”

Pastor has spoken the truth. And good thing he’s the Lord’s anointed, he can’t be touched.

FG’s coded plans for May 29

World leaders will not be part of the May 29 ceremonies for President Mohammadu Buhari inauguration for a second term in office, the Federal Government has disclosed. Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, stated this yesterday while briefing State House Correspondents on activities for the programme.

He said: “Buhari’s inauguration for a second term on May 29, 2019, will be a low-key affair, hence the decision to exclude the world leaders.”

He, however, said invitations have been sent to all world leaders to attend the June 12 Democracy Day celebrations.

LOL. Oga Buhari is playing it safe. Him no want make anybody come dey drag him birthright like in Venezuela.
