Turkish club, Trabzonspor yesterday terminated the contract of former Super Eagles’ Captain, John Obi Mikel following the Nigerian’s refusal to continue playing during the current Coronavirus crisis, reports goal.com.
A statement by the club read that they parted ways with Mikel by mutual consent.
Mikel only joined Black Sea Storm as a free agent on a two-year deal last summer, at the end of his brief stint in the Championship with Middlesbrough. (Text courtesy Guardian)
