Africa’s first e- Sharing Scooter company, TREKK Scooters, has introduced an alternative transport model for students of Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo.
Prof. Tosin Adu, Director, LASU Ventures Limited, said on Friday that the innovation was a product of the partnership between his outfit and the TREKK Scooters company.
Adu said that the university entered the partnership to provide the students with alternative transportation while making the university more eco-friendly
“I also appreciate the university management for approving the partnership.
“TREKK Scooters will offer an eco-friendly alternative to the shuttle service on the campus and allow students to unlock the scooters parked at the main gate.
” They will pay a designated amount using the TREKK App and ride the scooters anywhere on the campus,” he said.
Mr Isaac Oyedokun, Chief Executive Officer, TREKK e-Scooters sharing platform, said that LASU was the first public university that would be hosting the platform.
Oyedokun appreciated the university management for the speedy approval of the business proposal.
He expressed the willingness of his firm to enter into further partnerships with the institution.
In his remarks while launching the scooters, Prof. Olufunsho Omobitan, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) LASU, said that the initiative would boost the university’s place as the best in West Africa on the Green metrics ranking.(NAN)
