TVC appoints Stella Din-Jacob as editor-in-chief

TVC Communications has announced the appointment of Mrs. Stella Din-Jacob as its new Editor-in-Chief. 

With a distinguished career in broadcast journalism spanning decades, Mrs. Jacob is renowned for her expertise and commitment to the field. 

From Plateau State, Nigeria, she is celebrated for her dedication and excellence and this appointment marks a significant milestone for both her and TVC, promising to elevate the company’s editorial standards. 

Her leadership is expected to bring innovative strategies and a renewed focus on journalistic integrity, shaping the future direction of the network and reinforcing its status as a leading broadcaster in the region.

Din-Jacob holds a diverse educational background in law, having completed a foundation course at the University of Warwick, obtained her B.L from the Nigerian Law School, and earned a law degree from the University of Kent, England.

Her career in media began long before she became the director of news at TVC News in October 2018. Din-Jacob’s experience spans several prominent Nigerian media organisations, including News 24, Channels Television, and Silverbird Television. At Channels Television, from 1994 to 2002, she served as a programme producer on the foreign and diplomatic desks, in addition to roles as a newscaster and editor. Her expertise also extended internationally through freelance work for CNN and Al Jazeera.

Recognised for her influence, Din-Jacob was named among the 25 Most Powerful Women in Journalism in Nigeria by Women in Journalism Africa (WIJAFRICA) in 2020.
