Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie set to rent out clothing (Metro)

In a move that’s been touted as another step towards a full gig economy, customers will be able to use their service – called Nuuly – to borrow items at will. You’ll be allowed to rent six items a month, before giving them back and freeing them up for others to have, for one online subscription fee.

You can then either send items back – where it’ll be cleaned and pressed – or buy them for good if you can’t bring yourself to part ways.
