Valentine’s Day: ‘Festival of Love’ brings Nollywood to Lekki-Ajah

Castledown Gallery, organisers of the popular Eko Oni Baje Festival, in furtherance of its commitment to boosting domestic tourism in Nigeria is set host Lagos residents, especially those at the Ibeju-Lekki axis at its Festival of Love event slated for February 14, 2021.

Festival of Love is being packaged to avail a convivial, fun atmosphere where love will be celebrated amongst the various ethnic nationalities living in Lagos, while guests are being entertained with music, comedy and talks by some Nollywood stars amidst exquisite cuisine.

According to the proprietor of Castledown, Chinedu Idezuna (aka Eze Mmuo) the evening will provide the atmosphere for couples to bond more while willing singles will have the opportunity to find their soul mates at the venue.

“Whatever we do at Castledown is geared towards bringing unity to the resident s of Lagos. Festival of Love is patterned in this same line. It is an evening of fun, where spouses will come to celebrate their love while those who are single and ready to mingle can also find their heartbeat. There will be several side attractions ranging from great cuisine to music, to comedy. Some Nollywood personalities who are great partners of Castedown will be there for some pep talk in the spirit of the season.

“Many of the guests will also have the opportunity to tell their love stories in a way people will learn that love can be found at any time and anywhere. The idea is to let our guests realise that to find love, they need to keep their minds open. It is an evening of openness, where everyone will celebrate that person that is important to him or her. Festival of Love is for couples, neighbours, friends and siblings. It is an avenue to appreciate the bond between you and that special person in your life”. The event which will hold at Lekki Trade Centre by Area J Police Headquarters, Elesakon Bus Stop, is already being lauded by many residents of the Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos, where Castledown has left tourism imprints.

According to Olusegun Odofin, a resident of Ibeju Lekki, he is looking forward to the event. “From what the organisers have been able to do with Eko Oni Baje Festival, one can sense that Festival of Love will be a huge success. In fact, many of us in this area are looking forward to it.”
