Venezuela now has two presidents battling for control after opposition leader Juan Guaido declared himself interim president on Wednesday.
Thousands of people marched in the country this week to demand the end of socialist President Nicolas Maduro’s government.
National Assembly leader Guaido then swore himself in as acting president, promising to create a transitional government that will end the South American nation’s economic collapse.
