Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has confirmed he has played his last game for the club.
The Belgian refused to answer questions on his future before Saturday’s 6-0 FA Cup final win against Watford, fearing the focus would be diverted from the club’s pursuit of a domestic treble.
However, the 33-year-old released a statement on Sunday morning to confirm he will leave the club this summer.
The defender is out of contract in July and City were prepared to hand the Belgian a rolling one-year deal. Read more
