Violent video games not linked to aggressive behavior in young people, study shows (Metro)

Video games are becoming increasingly photo-realistic and there’s more choice than ever about what to play.

Inevitably, the question gets asked about whether or not violent games like Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto cause younger players to become more aggressive.

And the answer from the latest study is a resounding no.

Researchers at the University of Oxford surveyed around 1,000 British 14 and 15-year-olds and their parents or guardians to test the view held by some that there is a link between the games and aggressive behaviour. Read more
