Virgil Van Dijk names the one reason why Liverpool’s tie with Porto is far from over (Metro)

Liverpool secured a 2-0 win over Porto in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Tuesday at Anfield, but they still have work to do to progress to the semis, says Virgil van Dijk.

Goals from Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino gave the Reds the commanding lead heading into the second leg in Portugal.

Things could have been very different, with Porto striker Moussa Marega squandering a couple of very good chances, but Liverpool avoided conceding an away goal to Sérgio Conceição’s side.

Van Dijk believes that the intense atmosphere at the Estádio do Dragão will give Porto an edge in the second leg, but he is relishing the challenge nonetheless. Read more
