Deadline for submissions to the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation 2021 is today, Friday, May 28. The organisers say this is the deadline for submission of the online form, while hard copies can follow at a later date.

The prize is open to any novel, novella, collection of short stories, collection of poetry, graphic novel, play text, book-length work of literary non-fiction or book-length work of fiction for children or young adults originally written in any language other than English by a woman of any nationality and translated into English by a person of any gender, provided that the translation in question was published for the first time in print form in the United Kingdom and/or Ireland between  April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021.

The organisers urge publishers, translators, and authors to submit entries to the Prize.

“The Prize seeks to highlight the fantastic activity taking place to promote women in translation and so each year we publish the full list of eligible submissions. This year the Prize takes place within the framework of Coventry City of Culture and Coventry Cathedral is very generously making its space available to us so that we can celebrate the initiative in a more public forum. We hope to see many of you in Coventry in November,” said the announcement statement.
