Brits hoping to wake up to a white Christmas are likely to be disappointed after experts predicted plenty of frost and fog instead.
Most of the UK will experience both frost and fog this morning before more settled temperatures settle for the rest of the day.
Met Office forecaster Greg Dewhurst said: “Christmas Day is looking like a lovely day for pretty much the whole of the UK.
“It is highly unlikely there will be any significant snowfall this year.
“If there is any snow, it will be over the tops of the Scottish mountains, which we don’t class as a white Christmas.” Read more
