WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange refuses to agree to US extradition (Metro)

Julian Assange says he will ‘not surrender’ himself to the US over allegations he conspired to break into a classified Pentagon computer.

The WikiLeaks founder has started what could be a lengthy legal fight against extradition to the States.

The 47-year-old was sentenced to 50 weeks in jail yesterday after he breached bail conditions by seeking refuge in the Ecuadorian embassy.

Assange is currently in London’s Belmarsh prison and appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court via video link this morning. Read more
