Former Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray says Wilfried Zaha would have been the ‘perfect fit’ for Arsenal and is ‘surprised’ they signed Nicolas Pepe over the Eagles winger.
The Gunners were reportedly interested in the 27-year-old last summer, but instead opted to shell out £72 million for Pepe from Ligue 1 side Lille.
Arsenal’s record signing has struggled for consistency and is yet to acclimatise to the fast pace of the Premier League.
Zaha’s future at Selhurst Park has once again been brought into question after Roy Hodgson admitted earlier this week that it is a ‘dilemma’ for the club if he is ‘so set on leaving’. (Metro)
