Six Palestinians including a local Hamas commander have been killed during an Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian officials say. Police reveal how Togolese cook killed Credit Switch chairman (Punch)
The Lagos State Police Command has said that its investigation into the murder of the late Chairman of Credit Switch Technology, Opeyemi Bademosi, has revealed that his cook and prime suspect, Sunday Anani, allegedly stabbed his boss to death in his room at his Parkview Estate residence, in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State. 65-year-old man dies during sex with lover in Anambra hotel (Punch)
A 65-year-old man, Obi Nwoda, was reported dead in the early hours of Sunday in a hotel in Awka, the Anambra State capital, after an alleged sex romp with a 34-year-old lady. The lady, who was said to have been arrested by the police, was alleged to have camped with the man for two days in the hotel. A source in the hotel, who begged not to be named, told our correspondent, “The man had been here for two days with different girls visiting him before the unfortunate incident took place. 4 in court for stealing N37m cashew nuts (Vanguard)
Four suspects, including two middle-aged men, Franklin Ukonu and Gbandi Bababeji, accused of stealing 35 bags of cashew nuts worth N37,117,500 and those accused of buying the produce, Haruna Ibrahim and Uzoma Odinkeme have been arraigned before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court. Sexagenarian, accomplice arraigned for raping nine-year-old girl (Punch)
A 65-year old man, Lawal Angala of Safana town, Katsina State, and an accomplice, Isah Lawal, 19, have been charged to court for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl. The accused persons were said to have sexually assaulted the victim several times. The victim’s mother, Shamsiya Abdullahi reported the incident at the Safana Divisional Police Headquarters, Katsina.
