Wizkid, high fashion and Ciroc: An extraordinary blend

Wizkid has inspired a generation of art and fashion lovers with his luxurious fashion and style, on and off stage over the last decade. The Starboy has endorsed several projects and brands and is presently the brand ambassador for Cîroc, the ultra-premium vodka in Nigeria.

Tracing from collaborations with Moschino, Fiorucci and Alessandra Ambrosio, to brand ambassador relationships with Sean “Diddy” Combs, Cîroc has maintained its cutting edge in high fashion and luxury lifestyle. Cîroc’s playful luxury has found resonance with the brand’s association with Wizkid, Nigeria’s very own music and fashion icon. Indeed, Wizkid, Africa’s true Afrobeat maestro embodies Cîroc.

Arguably Nigeria’s most recognised act internationally, Wizkid rose to prominence in 2010 after releasing “Holla at Your Boy”, the lead single from his debut studio album Superstar (2011). With several hit singles like “Ojuelegba’’, “Jaiye, Jaiye’’ and more recently “Joro’’ as well as “Ghetto Love’’, the singer has amassed a huge fan-base in Nigeria and beyond.

With a career spanning 10 years, Wizkid has garnered multiple awards and collaborated with both local and international acts. In 2016, the artist achieved international recognition following his collaboration with Drake on the global hit, “One Dance”, which reached number one in 15 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.

He has also featured on hits like “Brown Skin Girl” (with Beyonce), “Energy (Stay Far Away)” (with Skepta), “Sexy Mama” (with Iyanya) amidst others. In addition, he became the first Afrobeats artist to appear in the 2018 Guinness World Records for his contribution to Drake’s song, “One Dance”.
