WMD: Ikeja Electric donates 3000 mosquito net to communities (Vanguard)

In commemoration of the world malaria day, Ikeja Electric has donated over 3,000 mosquito nets to women and children across Lagos state, to increase awareness on how to tackle the tropical disease that is easily the biggest killer in Nigeria and many African countries. The world Malaria Day, WMD, held at different locations under the company’s Business Units, which includes: Ikeja Business Unit, Abule Egba Business Unit, Shomolu Business Unit, Ikorodu Business Unit, Oshodi Business Unit and Akowonjo Business Unit in Igando. The company in collaboration commemorated the 2018 World Malaria Day themed ‘Ready to Beat Malaria’ by donating thousands of insecticide-treated nets to communities within its coverage while staff of the company also sensitized people in the communities on ways to prevent malaria.
