Woman says she can’t be racist because ‘there’s no black person on the street’ (Metro)

In the land of the soap opera there is always going to be drama and problems with neighbours not getting on.

But in a real life Coronation Street a couple handed an Asbo insist that they’ve actually done nothing wrong.

Lynsey Mills, 36, and Rhys Hope faced a string of allegations since summer when they moved into the street in North Shields, Tyneside.

They’ve been accused of using racist language, but Lynsey says that can’t be true because ‘there isn’t even a black person in the street so I don’t know where they get that from. Read more
