11th boy has been freed from cave (EveningStandard)

The operation to rescue the remaining boy and his football coach trapped in a flooded cave in Thailand has resumed, with hopes high all will be released within the coming hours.

Eight boys have already been freed over the past two days by divers using guide ropes and shared oxygen tanks and a further three boys were rescued this morning. Just one boy and his 25-year-old coach remain trapped.

The boys freed from the cave in the past couple of days are said to be in “high spirits” and are recovering in hospital. Read more
