Tragedy struck on Monday as an 18-year-old boy lost his life to an early morning fire outbreak at Sayi area of Alore in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
An eyewitness told LEADERSHIP that the incident occurred at about 1:30am in the wee hours of Monday.
As at the time of this report, a delegation of Kwara State Government were about visiting the scene of the fire outbreak for assessment of the situation.
“Yes, a devastating fire outbreak occurred at Sayi area of Alore early this morning. We learnt it claimed the life of an 18-year-old boy. We (a government delegation) will soon visit the scene of the incident to commiserate with our people,” a top government official confided in LEADERSHIP. (Leadership)
