At least 452 people have been infected with the novel coronavirus in Nigeria. The total number of confirmed cases in the country is now 21,371.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known Tuesday via tweet, saying the new cases emanated from 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The number of those so far discharged after testing negative is 7, 338, while 533 have sadly died.
Worldwide, more than 9 million people have been confirmed to have the coronavirus. More than 4.5 million have recovered, while more than 472,000 have died, according to Johns Hopkins University.
