5 people Bobrisky fought before going to jail

Bobrisky, a controversial Nigerian crossdresser, has had feuds with several people, including his former best friend, Tonto Dikeh.

Born Idris Okuneye, long before the self-proclaimed queen of social media’s recent sentencing to six months in prison over currency mutilation and abuse of the naira, his flamboyant personality and outspoken nature often landed him in fiery trouble online.

Others on the long list of Bobrisky’s sparring partners include Portable, Very dark man, Nkechi Blessing and Oye Kyme.

This is a look at five of Bobrisky’s most explosive clashes:

  1. Tonto Dike

Tonto Dike and Bobrisky were once the picture of social media friendship bliss, showering each other with compliments and attending events together.

Their friendship turned sour only a few years ago when Tonto posted a quote on Instagram that Bobrisky perceived as a shade.

The nasty fallout left fans reeling. Accusations flew back and forth, with Bobrisky claiming betrayal and Tonto Dike throwing shade at Bobrisky’s lifestyle. The mudslinging match across platforms was vicious and dramatic.

The conflict continued to escalate, with Bobrisky accusing Tonto of owing him N5 million and living a fake life. Tonto, in turn, accused Bobrisky of being a liar, having a smelly butt, and sleeping with Yahoo boys. Their feud became public, with both parties making serious allegations against each other.

Bobrisky accused his former close friend of owing him N5 million during a shading session on Instagram. This was said to have come shortly after Tonto revealed her relationship with politician Prince Kpokpogri. The rift between the two led to Bobrisky blocking Tonto on Instagram after she unfollowed him, straining their six-year friendship.

  1. Portable

Another person Bobrisky had a public dispute with is the musician Portable. Only in March, the two engaged in a heated exchange on social media. Portable accused Bobrisky of being a fake billionaire, while Bobrisky fired back, claiming Portable was a nobody who was only relevant because of him.

The rise of street-hop artiste Portable brought a new challenger to the online drama arena. When Portable took a jab at Bobrisky in a song, it was like poking a hornet’s nest. Bobrisky retaliated with fiery social media posts and a diss track, sending the internet into a frenzy. The clash between these two titans of personality was nothing short of explosive.

  1. Very dark man

Comedian Very dark man found himself in Bobrisky’s crosshairs after a seemingly harmless joke. Bobrisky, known for his razor-sharp wit, interpreted the humour as shade and unleashed a barrage of insults online. Very dark man, known for keeping his cool, tried to deflect the negativity, but the feud simmered for weeks, a testament to Bobrisky’s ability to turn a minor incident into a major meltdown.

  1. Nkechi Blessing

Bobrisky and Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing got into a heated social media altercation a few years ago sparked by an Instagram comment from one of Bobrisky’s fans.

It began when Blessing apologised to a fan who had tattooed her on their body, despite previously condemning such acts.

A fan of Bobrisky interpreted Blessing’s apology as prompted by fear of Bobrisky’s influence, given his earlier advice for fans to be cautious about the celebrities they support. This incited Blessing to retort angrily, questioning the sanity of both Bobrisky and the commenter.

The situation quickly escalated into a full-blown online feud. Bobrisky responded, stating his preference for peace and implying that Blessing should refrain from mentioning him. Blessing accused Bobrisky of instigating the conflict over a romantic interest and referenced his strained relationship with his close friend Tonto Dikeh.

Bobrisky, in turn, urged Blessing to address any grievances directly with him and criticized her for not being affluent enough to appreciate fans who express their loyalty through tattoos of her face or name.

5. Oye Kyme

Oye Kyme, once Bobrisky’s personal assistant, exposed some sensitive information about the crossdresser following their fallout earlier that year.

Among the revelations was Kyme’s claim that Bobrisky had a sexual relationship with the Nigerian internet personality Mompha.

Bobrisky had initially invited Kyme to Nigeria to work as his personal assistant after she tattooed his name on her body. However, their professional relationship ended on a negative note, prompting Kyme to share insights about her former employer on Instagram.

Kyme, who hails from Ivory Coast, alleged in a recent Instagram post that Bobrisky engaged in sexual activities with her and frequently harassed her.

In response, Bobrisky accused Kyme of being paid to defame him. He made these statements during an Instagram live session with Daddy Freeze. Additionally, Bobrisky claimed that his former close friend Tonto is financially supporting Kyme’s social media attacks against him.

Furthermore, Bobrisky mentioned that Tonto had similarly targeted their mutual friends after disputes in the past.

Bobrisky’s disputes have not been limited to individuals. He has also had run-ins with the law. This month the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Bobrisky over currency mutilation and abuse of the naira. He was accused of spraying naira notes at a social event, which is considered an affront to the currency in Nigeria. Bobrisky has since received a six-month sentence without the option of a fine, serving as a deterrent to others engaging in the desecration of the Nigerian currency.
