Grammy-nominated singer Davido has recounted his first encounter with 50 Cent and how he got snubbed by the American rapper.
Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Davido said he was 14 at the time and his family was in Las Vegas celebrating his older brother’s 21st birthday.
Davido, a fan of Lloyd Banks, took a picture with him.
However, when he approached 50 Cent for a photo, he was bluntly refused.
Years later, Davido reminded 50 Cent of the incident and the rapper responded with a nod to Davido’s current success, saying, “You are here now, right?
He said: “The first time I ever saw 50 Cent, I was a kid in Vegas. I was like ‘can I have a picture’, he said, ‘No.’ (TheNation)
