Alexis Sanchez was missing from Manchester United’s squad at their new team hotel before their Champions League clash with Young Boys on Tuesday evening.
Having arrived late for both of their home games in the Champions League this season, United’s players are now staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, which is less than half a mile from Old Trafford, instead of The Lowry Hotel.
But Sanchez was not among the players who arrived at the Hilton on Tuesday afternoon, which suggests he has been omitted from Jose Mourinho’s matchday squad.
The Chilean was dropped by Mourinho for the 3-1 defeat to Manchester City before the international break, while in the goalless draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday he was brought on to replace Paul Pogba in the second half.
Ander Herrera, Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo, Diogo Dalot, Matteo Darmian were also not spotted that the team hotel, while Victor Lindelof misses the match after suffering a groin injury against Palace. Read more
